crylic and mixed technique on toile, 120 × 75 cm, 2008.

Sakr is an educated artist aware of the art movement in many countries of the world
through his many art shows and workshops. He enjoys an extending artistic and cultural
movement. He is distinguished by his capability to form a fabric extending in the spaces
of the painting as if it is a cosmic visual space, spun with genes of ancient Egyptian hi-
eroglyphic symbols in a new and contemporary visual reality and through a visual cultural
component of these great civilizations. The light in his artwork is engraved, coming from
the printed source that the artist controlled to create an extremely precise aesthetic state
by breaking up the energy of light coming from the depth and restructuring it in a fine art
form expressing a human and civilizational state existing in the heart of our artist, who
surprises us in every exhibition with his new and controversial work.

Prof. Ahmed Nawar,
Al-Hayat newspaper, 2006

Artist Ahmed Sakr has been working with a special vision and philosophy, employing the
symbol with a perspective linked with heritage in a contemporary way without replicat-
ing the Pharaonic art. Every symbol and element has its own significance in its age. His
paintings are dominated by the theme of Adam and Eve and the start of life upon them.

Akher Sa'aa magazine, 2008.
