an exotic world between the absolute abstraction and the extreme realism of
photography.

Semiologically, the collage artworks of Farouk Hosny creates synergy between
two extremes:the convention or idiomatic mark produced by the photograph in the
collage, and the visual pictorial mark produced by the movement of color and font
and their formation. The convergence of the two extremes results in a visual language
charged with the sensual and imaginative excitement of the recipient, as we cannot
imagine an image that is not visual in its basis as, where the artist activates and
sharpens the visual memory of the recipient through the interaction of two opposing
elements, and each recipient receives and reacts to the accumulation of visual images
in a different way.

Furthermore, Farouk Hosny presents the Collage technique in a different way from
what Cubist artists are presenting who add to their artworks pieces of newspapers
and publications, wood bark, engraved materials, and tarpaulins without using the
brush, they also believe that adding these substances in their original form on paper
highlights the rigidity of geometry in the the canvas, so it can absorb and even digest
