expressive energies and the emergence
of environmental resources in more than
aspect of heritage features except the
folk ones.

Young people shared food, dialogue,
satirical comments, and sometimes
bickeringattheCenterofArtsinpreparation
for the opening. These interactions served
as a fuel and motivation for creativity
ambition. Selim was a driven energy of
awareness, enlightenment and creativity
provocation, with human compassion
for those youth who were in the galleries,
corridors and the garden of Center of
Arts.

Selim was really motivating with

awareness, provoking like those great Ahmed Fouad Selim and his daughter

pioneers such as Hussein Youssef Amin,

Ramses Younan, Fouad Kamel, Kamel El-Telmessani, and the pioneer of modern

thought and renewal godfather, Youssef El-Afifi, the founder of progressive groups

joined by the Gazbia Sirry and Gamal El-Sagini, and a constellation of innovators

in the art movement. Selim was a central pillar of contemporary Egyptian art since

the 1960s. In his lifetime, he served as an integral and effective institution with

amazing achievement. If you looked for any vital achievement or struggle against

bureaucracy, shallowness and prosecution, you will find Selim at the heart of the

event, motivating it tirelessly. He was the owner of achievement, craft and thought

and was an experienced artist that has craft and concepts. He had an eye and was

a connoisseur of art; he was a contemplating critic and an audited historian who

depends on the eye vision and reference sources. He was fluent in Arabic, English

and French; he could use them in reading and writing; he was a professional reader

who reads daily and draws consciously and deliberately attitudes and opinions.
