A commemorative medal honoring the memory of the French scientist Gaspard Monge.
One side bears his portrait surrounded by his name, along with the signature of
"Vauthier Galle" in the exergue. The other side shows his biography surrounded by a
laurel wreath, bronze, diam. 5 cm, 1818
