The works of Prof. Ahmed Ragab Sakr belong to the Sufi spiritual state
that is liked and is close to the Egyptian conscience. The surfaces of
his paintings are characterized by the combination of the originality of
the aesthetics of the Arabic letter or word and the ideas and materials,
employing more contemporary modern techniques together with his tal-
ent and abilities that helped Sakr develop a state of musical harmony
between these two expressions, which may appear linguistically oppo-
site. This distinction has made his artistic achievement have a correlative
relationship among the fine art elements, creating a sense of unity, and
making them easily recognized by the viewer.

Before Ahmed Ragab Sakr’s paintings, you feel the visual comfort; he
made the surface of the painting as a free space in which the elements
float through relationships that combine the principle of unity and the
principle of moral and emotional harmony. This unique smoothness is not
easy to write about; playing of this harmonious and attractive rhythm de-
spite the multiplicity of vocabulary and materials is only possible by be-
ing patient on his experience and spending years tirelessly in research
and experimentation, constituting an important tributary of the artist to
reach his desire to create an aesthetic achievement and to square this
circle of gaining experience for the intellectual, artistic and technical sta-
tus of the artist.

When Ofok Gallery hosts an exhibition by Prof. Ahmed Ragab Sakr, we
are on a date with a very interesting show where all the dazzling ele-
ments are integrated in terms of the artist's position and the value of the
experience, its aesthetics, and its artistic and intellectual richness; this
is an aspect to be added to the aspects of the artist's academic and re-
search contributions.
