oughout a great artistic career, in which the characteristics of the Egyp-
tian heritage combined with the experiences of the western art, the works
of artist Ahmed Ragab Sakr are seen in the fields of graphic art, paint-
ing, and installation, combining the flat and three-dimensional, and spatial
and portrayed elements and materials. Various stages of art, in some he
cared about book art, and in other, he turned the surface of his paintings
into sunken and prominent spaces, employing in them the Canary Islands
sands and the white sands, which he brought from the shores of the North
Coast, in addition to the zinc engraving and lithography. This major artistic
career is crowned with numerous national and international awards.

With a simplistic orientation and creative fluency, artist Ahmed Ragab
Sakr reduces the lines, spaces, and details, forming a visual dictionary
of imagery and symbols of heritage origin, which acquires its importance
and richness through its connection with the arts of different Egyptian civi-
lizations, from the primitive arts, the ancient Egyptian and Coptic arts to
the Islamic civilization arts.

The Ofok Gallery presents artist Ahmed Ragab Sakr as one of the most
influential experimentalists in the contemporary Egyptian painting move-
ment through a new artistic experience in which the richness of artistic
creativity combines with the abundance of the symbols of art, intellect,
and politics in Egypt. Egyptian figures who passed away, but left their
achievements in the realms of literature, art, and science that paved the
way for future generations bearing the responsibility for the completion of
the process of enlightenment.
