Ahmed Ragab Sakr

Was born in Tablouha Village, Tala, El-Monofeya, 1963.
Graduated with honors from the Graphics Department,
Faculty of Fine Arts, Cairo, 1987. Professor and Head of
Graphics Department and the Elected Dean of the Faculty
of Fine Arts in Minya from 2011 to 2015.

He received a scholarship to Germany from 1995 to 1997
to complete his Ph.D. at the University of Erfurt, Germany.
He extensively studied lithography at the same university
and studied handmade paper and its paste. He held 51
private exhibitions in painting, drawing, engraving and
compositions in Egypt and abroad.

He received 24 national and international awards, the
most important of which are the State Prize for Graphic Art
in 2001, First Prize in the 5th Cairo International Biennale
in 1995, the grand prize the Oscar of Alexandria Interna-
tional Biennale in 2003, 6 awards in the first 6 sessions
of the Youth Salon in Cairo, awards vary between draw-
ing, painting and composition. He participated in more
than 120 international and national group exhibitions, and
participated in more than 40 international workshops in
graphic art, painting and sculpture. He has acquisitions in
Egyptian and foreign museums and individuals in Egypt
and abroad. He supervised and discussed more than one
hundred research in fine arts.
