Selim is Present
Here at Center of Arts, Ahmed Fouad Selim spent nearly 30 years with the
responsibility of presenting a conscious fine art scene that embraces the masses of
artists with their different experiences and trends.
International and national events, and contemporary ideas and visions have been
launched from this great artistic edifice; this has rightly made him a major focus in
forming the Egyptian artistic movement features.
Now, Center of Arts is embraced by the artworks of the great artist Ahmed Fouad
Selim on the tenth anniversary of his passing in recognition of the role of this creative
and great artist who has created for himself a unique position as an artist and painter
with a very special experience among a generation of pioneers of the Egyptian fine
art at the time. He was greatly assisted by his wide culture and openness to arts of all
kinds and trends to possess his artistic tools; his mind was freed from all academic
constants and repetitive styles; this formed his independent artistic personality which
was clearly shown in his artworks from his inception to his death.
The same walls through which many have crossed into the heart of the Egyptian
art movement today are being embraced by the works of artist Ahmed Fouad Selim
to celebrate with us his commemoration at a place that was and still a witness to the
nobility of his message.
