for this character and also indicating

his confusion about its characteristics

and features. In the second chapter of

Al-Shayeb, Shaprol defines the features Pike John, 1911 / 1979, A View of Cairo,

saying: the long-time has left its effects

on the faces of the Egyptians; their features have become neutral not affected by

joy and do not grieve for calamity. "You can’t reveal what borne in the hearts of

the Egyptians through their features. The face image is not a mirror of their ideas.

Their apparent face, in all circumstances of their lives, is almost the same, retaining

the same impartiality and neutrality in their features, whether when they express

worries, feel remorse or overwhelmed by happiness, and whether they are shattered
