My homeland, the conscience and honesty taught me not to let people down without
evidence, if so, when I’m predominantly malevolent, the waste should not be cursing,
shedding customs and good intentions. The conscience and honesty also taught me not
tell a word without a bond; the bond should reveal its roots so as not to lose things with
its signs, and to lose the right and its authority.
What about Pharaonic, Greek, Romanian, Coptic, Islamic, African, and Arab identity, and
gatherings of people around the Mediterranean basin. Are they layers of subjection or
layers of choice and election? Are we so unknown, in search of identity, or in search of
our uniqueness? Do not we need to reformulate the differences? We need to have the
courage to criticize the inheritance in order to declare our birth, by coming out of the
metaphysics. The question is big; examination and scrutiny are what we will have to bear,
from now on.
