The series” Kolonial Alité” consists of a triptych entitled: Cairo Binnale 13th 2019
- Kolonial Alite code A @ Ke devenu noum sommes.

- Kolonial Alite code M @ Ke devenu noum sommes
This series is a question about the method which the colonization has followed to spread the
religion in the continent of Africa. Through metamorphosis of the divine, the problematic
related to our spiritual aspirations and our social life.
It is an invitation to interrogate the oldest spiritualities in a report back and forth between
the ancestors and its different metamorphosis, stipulating that the post-colonial situation
made all of us a “Kolonial Alite”. This is a play on words about the current consequences
of colonialism. It’s an attempt to understand the other one inside us and more precisely the
other who suffers.
The reference of the symbols of the genetic code with the letters AT-CG in the works empha-
sized the deep uniqueness of our beings.
The symbols Ankh, cross, crescent moon and yin yang among others also are present to cre-
ate the effect of communication, helping the viewer and leading him to a need for mutual
decryption.
